This unique beverage joint (they prefer being called Bubble Tea Cafe) which started in 2012 is the brainchild of Ashish and Vidya. Being avid travellers, they came across the concept of Bubble Tea during their travels to New York and Vietnam. Ashish says that the concept of Bubble Tea originated in Taiwan as a black tea mixed with cold milk and shaken, causing it to froth. The idea became widely popular and there were soon many variations incorporating puddings, syrups, fizz and tapioca. It was initially challenging to gather a customer following, but now there are three joints across Bangalore located in Sahakarnagar, St. Marks Road and Malleshwaram, with a fourth one in the pipeline. Besides the Classic Milk Tea, the Slushes and Sodas have also gained popularity, and the newly inroduced Belgian Fries (thick fries topped with sauces) are also a big hit.
