99 Variety Dosa in HSR Layout

. Although the name is 99 Variety Dosa, Venkatesh Das says they can even make around 200 varieties. They are very generous with the ingredients and state happily that they don't do 'kanjoosi' even when it comes to things like butter and cheese even so that customers often ask them to go easy on the butter. He is also very proud of the fact that he uses Amul butter and Nandini Paneer. The fastest selling items in the menu are Mysore masala dosa (which is quite different from the usual one), Paneer, Mushroom and Pav bhaji dosas.
Venkatesh Das is originally from Mandya, Karnataka, and started this stall 6 years ago after working as a tailor, then in a similar stall with his uncle. When he felt he needed more money and wanted to do something on his own, his uncle, Padma Prakash and friend, Manjappa supported him immensely. He has only one stall with 6 round coal-fired surfaces to make dosas on. Although his motivation to open the stall was the money, his happiness comes from generously feeding his customers and seeing them satisfied and happy. He is very happy with only dosas and does not plan to introduce any other items.
