Agnello Bakery came up in Siolim, Goa, in December 1992. Agnello, who started the joint, used to work for a bakery as a boy, selling pav. Starting at a humble salary of Rs. 15 / month, he worked his way around different food joints and bakeries uptil 1989. However, when the bakery he worked for threatened to close down, he decided to start his own pav making unit. Slowly the menu has expanded to include all bakery goods but the ones that Agnello is known for are the Goan sweets Boll, Dosh and Coconut Cookies. He also makes cakes and biscuits.
