A non-vegetarian paradise, Hotel Aflatoon started 18 years in 1997 in Mapusa, near the central Mosque. Popular for its chicken and beef rolls, it serves biryani in the day and rolls and kebabs by night. Rolls are stuffed with an omelet and a specially prepared mince before they are folded up and crisp fried on a flat pan. Kebabs are grilled fresh over a live, charcoal grill as dusk falls. The enticing aromas attract crowds, and residents take away rolls and kebabs on their way home from work. The food attracts foreigners and locals alike.
