Jodhpur Sweets on Iyengar road, Chickpet is a 15-year-old Rajasthani sweets shop set up by Marwaris from Jodhpur. On being asked, the owner proudly recalls the year he started his business. He established his shop in 1999. Serving exotic Rajasthani fare such as Malai Gehwar (Rs. 400/Kg) and Pyaaz Kachori (Rs. 15/piece), the outlet has a steady stream of regulars who come back frequently. The owner claims that all sweets are made in pure Nandini ghee, resulting in exceptionally tasty Indian desserts. Festivals such as Rakhi and Makar Sakranti has special sweets being prepared for the celebration.
