Menaka Restaurant situated inside The Palmgrove Hotel, Chennai began its operations in 1973 and since then has been serving South-Indian food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menaka Restaurant was founded by the Ballal family and is still managed by the extended generations. The food served throughout the day has a distinct Tamil flavor that can be traced to home-made recipes. It is the Grape juice here that completes the meal along with the Idlis, Dosas, and Vadas. Fresh Muscat (paneer grapes) from the vineyards are used for the juice. The recipes used here are decades old and gets everyone hooked to this place. Some people are regulars here for over 40 years and come for breakfast or a takeaway on a regular basis.
