It was started by a Goan couple who collected traditional recipes from mothers around the city, in order to start the restaurant. With a mesmerizing and peaceful ambiance, styled in earthen tone, Mum's Kitchen is famous for its varieties of authentic Goan and seafood. Beef Croquettes made with spicy minced beef, Mother's Curry served here is a classic Goan home-cooked fish curry with rice, coconut and chilly flavors and Veg Saar prepared with a tomato twist on the coconut milk are the most highly recommended dishes. The menu also has wide variety for vegetarians like the Ambotik Curry based on a sour regional delicacy and Tamre Bhaji prepared with red spinach. In desserts, Mangganem (Jagger-based kheer
mixed with gram dal) and Shakarbat (sweet flavored rice) come highly recommended. Other dishes served here like Pomfret Curry, Peri Peri Prawn, Sol Kadhi and many more are also commendable.
