Sai Anant Fast Food
in Parra, near Mapusa, Goa, was started by Sivram in 2002. Sivram has an interesting journey which started with working at the local panchayat. He then moved on to working at different hotels across Goa. However, he was not satisfied with the jobs he was getting or the pay, so he decided to take the plunge and start something of his own. With negligible savings and no proper experience, it was a tough road but his hard work, perseverance and determination paid off. Sai Anant is a popular food joint and locals travel to it from across north Goa to try the Chicken Xacuti, Patal Bhaji, Bhaji Pav and different milkshakes and drinks that Sivram offers. He proudly says that his mother is the soul of the joint – it was she who used to prepare all the food earlier and even today, he uses her recipes to cook. It is best known for Ras Omelet. Also serves seafood and Chinese.
