Shyam's Bombay Sandwich
THE STORY
Shyam's Bombay Sandwich comes as a surprise in Vasanth Nagar. Originally from Bihar, Shyam came to Bangalore 6 years ago. He's shy as he tells us he has never been to Mumbai and that he learnt the art of making Bombay Sandwiches from his relatives in Nagrathpet area. He uses fresh chutney, boiled potatoes, onions, tomatoes and capsicum in the sandwiches. He sure knows his customers' needs because we found a few who took extra pains to come and eat at his stall because "He puts extra chocolate in the chocolate sandwich". His is a perfect place to grab a light bite when on a short evening break. The Veg Sandwich and the Veg Cheese Sandwich are especially popular.
