Yak Kitchen in Brigade road is one of the few and best places in Bangalore serving fresh and tasty authentic Tibetan food. It was started in 2012 by Mr. Pema. He moved to Bangalore from his hometown in Shillong to pursue another business, and eventually decided to open a joint which incorporates the cooking styles he had learnt back home. His main aim was to serve fresh and tasty food. This traditional style of cooking Tibetan food (especially Momos) is not very common in Bangalore, and this is what customers love about Yak Kitchen. Besides the Momos, Beef or Chicken Shaptra, which is a semi-gravy dish served with fluffy buns called Thigmos, is also a popular item. The place is usually crowded between 2PM to 5PM.
