JP Nagar Bangalore
804, 22nd Main Road, 2nd Phase, J. P. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560078, India

S N Refreshments is located in an JP Nagar 2nd Phase - away from the main road. When coming from Jayanagar to 2nd Phase, one shall find the RV Dental College, and about a kilometer ahead, one will spot a restaurant called 24th Main to the left. Turn to the left after that, and about 500m ahead to the right is the S N Refreshments.

Established in 1991, S.N.Refreshments in JP Nagar is probably the best in the vicinity for a sumptuous South Indian Tiffin. Owned by Mr Ramachandra Bhat, and managed by Mr Dinakar, this place is most famous for its Idly and Dosa. 'What can I say?', he smiles; when asked about the most challenging things that arise while managing the busiest eatery in the locality. 'There's no such thing as a challenge!' Doesn't the crowd bother him? (Of all days in the week, I choose to make a visit on a Saturday, when it is so crowded that it gets difficult for me to take a picture!) 'Oh, the crowd is a thing of happiness!' he says, 'Nothing is as satisfying beating hunger, and these happy faces make me happy!'

Special Information

  • One is expected to be prepared to order among the crowd here, because it is crowded most of the time; specially during the weekends.
  • One who visits must try the Dosa, Idlis and, of course, the Filter Coffee.

Khara Bath and Idly Chutney with butter are must try items here. The filter coffee is light and just perfect to end the meal . One thing I like about the south bangalore darshinis like SN, Brahmins and Vidyarthi Bhavan is the simplicity. The decor is minimal, place is hygebnic and the service is sooper fast. Its an experience right from taking the coupon to the way you finish it off with a filter coffee. One fond memory I have with SN is the way the person manning the food counter shouts to the kitchen behind. If you have coupon for Idly Chutney- He shouts “Ondu Double barli”!!!!(meaning one plate with a double idly has to come)… These words still ring in my ears though I am in far off Delhi
